Situated in the prime location of Finsbury Square, London, the newly refurbished Montcalm Royal London House wanted to boast both an impressive top floor bar area, providing surreal views over the city through its glass walls, as well as from its outdoor rooftop terrace bar.
Working closely with both the designer and the operator, we achieved this through the manufacture and installation of one of our favourite bars of all time.
Featuring solid walnut raised panels sat on an oak face frame, complimented by a solid oak-aged bar top, the 5 metre by 10 metre bar is mirrored by brass ceiling hung canopies, and wraps elegantly around the island back fitting unit.
Rectangular and elliptical reeded oak and walnut waitress points were also manufactured and installed by ourselves to match the feel of the bar, custom-tailored to the exact requirements of the restaurant operator. Boxes to house the audio system were also made in keeping with these finishes, as well as walnut panelling with inset mirrors to finish off the staircase leading back to the rooms. Installation of banquette seating throughout to the specification of the client provided the finishing touches to the penthouse bar, whilst complimenting the classy feeling they wished to portray.
