Following the roaring success of their more traditional sites, Noble Inn’s and executive chef Neil Rankin wanted to open a hip new diner-style venue that would be the ‘bad little brother’ to Smokehouse. An eclectic take on the fast-casual brunch offerings popular in LA and Chicago, seizing this gap in the market allowed the group to grow a separate branch of their business that could be operated from smaller, more readily obtainable city-centre venues.

Sat pride of place in the entrance to Citypoint, we worked closely with owners Scott and Maria Hunter to bring their quirky ideas for the interior to life, ensuring that we could provide diners with a venue fitting of the exclusive offering.

Manufacture and installation of a corrugated steel sheet bar and store area, accompanied by a box section steel back fitting and glass shelving set the feel of the venue upon entry. Waitress points and room dividers in keeping with this style continue throughout the venue complimented by antique light fittings. Traditional diner styled banquette seating complete with rustic oak tables provide the finishing touches to the site.

We later revisited to undertake a short duration rebranding to ‘Little Smoke’ featuring a limited selection of the Smokehouse menu’s before it was once again returned to the Bad Egg.
