Construction of new shop units in Whitechapel’s iconic Petticoat Lane Market provided the perfect opportunity for the opening of the second Copita Del Mercado. Taking the site from a powerless shell, we worked closely with Tonik Associates to bring returning customer Tim Luther’s vision to life.

Manufacture and installation of the main bar and copper canopy to the left of the venue, and food servery bar to the right ensured that we could achieve both maximum effect upon entry to the venue, as well as keeping the maximum amount of covers possible.

Traditional porcelain tiles throughout, and brick slips installed to provide a rustic wall effect were the final steps needed to provide the authentic Tapas Bar feel.

Fitting out the venue from scratch provided the rare opportunity for us to be able to fully build the kitchen area around the head chefs requirements. Fully finished with hygiene sheet wall cladding, and altro flooring throughout before the installation of the custom designed kitchen system, cleaning and maintenance is fast and easy for the staff.

Finished off with the installation of restrooms and a staff office to the rear of the venue, commissioning of a new electric supply installation, and alteration of access to the rear of the building, allowing the client to offer al fresco dining completed the project, with Copita proving a popular lunch venue for people passing through Petticoat Lane Market, and Whitechapel alike.
