Situated in Fitzrovia, client Tim Luther wanted to take a different approach to the Spanish food and drink offerings he already provides at his successful Copita and Barrica sites, by creating an authentic Andalusian Tabanco.

Converting the site from an office, we began transforming the venue based on Tim’s experience and research of traditional tabancos to ensure the creation of an authentic atmosphere.

Manufacture and installation of a rustic effect bar, with rusted steel back fitting frame, housing the barrels holding the sherries stands in the entrance to the venue, providing an enticing view for passers by deciding between the selection of local tapas bars.

Industrial steel framed fixed seating and tables in keeping with the traditional Andalusian theme were manufactured and fitted throughout the site the bar floor tiled with porcelain tiles, and the timber dining area floor refinished.

Downstairs in the venue, the previously open plan cellar provided the perfect place for installation of the kitchen and restrooms, as well as space to provide a storage facility.

Finished off with internal and external redecoration, and the fitting of carefully selected artworks and decorative pieces, Drakes proves popular with connoisseurs looking to enjoy the legitimate Andalusian experience in the heart of London.
