When Noble Inns took over the run down Islington Pub after teaming up with chef Neil Rankin, a complete overhaul was necessary to make way for the pilot restaurant, centred around their unique new take on smoked and barbecued meats.
The existing bar and top were already naturally aged, so a simple strip down and re-finishing to highlight this effect was adequate to set the old school vintage feel that we wanted the customer to perceive. This was perfectly complimented with a rusted effect canopy manufactured to follow the bar, featuring shelving and hanging glass racks. Alterations to the existing back bar to accommodate the specific needs of the client ensured that space was fully utilised, to help best manage the new influx of trade as a popular restaurant.
Alterations to the kitchen pass area were also made to match both the new high demand and the needs of the chef. This along with minor layout alterations throughout the restaurant ensured optimum site operation.
Renovation of the beer garden, including manufacture and installation of railway sleeper planters, and new upholstered external bench seating provided the perfect place for guests providing more of an al fresco dining experience.
Following extensive repairs to the building and roof areas, as well as the building's wiring, a full redecoration brought the site back to its former glory, providing Noble Inns with a venue of the same high quality as the food they create within it.
